Pica – Chile

Situated in the Pica commune within the Atacama Desert, the solar plant commenced construction in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in January 2021. With a capacity to generate 470 gigawatt-hours of electricity, the project is a powerhouse, supplying clean energy to power 100,000 households. This eco-friendly initiative significantly offsets 200,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) annually.
